Having lost his job and unable to find new employment, husband Shunji feels his life is over. The struggling couple, along with Sa's disabled younger brother, Satoshi, are forced to move in with Shunji's older brother, Fuyuhiko, due to financial hardship. Shunji, drowning in alcohol and showing clear signs of emotional instability, coupled with the burden of caring for his disabled brother-in-law, casts a dark cloud over their daily lives. Amid this turmoil, Kazu Sakaki begins to find slight comfort in Fuyuhiko's gentle words, easing her anxiety. However, beneath that kindness lies Fuyuhiko's hidden desires. As their lives teeter on the edge of despair, the individual struggles and inner conflicts of each person come sharply into focus.
