The Dark Queen was once sealed away by Sailor Princess, and upon her revival, she plotted revenge. Finding mere murder too dull, she tasked her close aide, Dark Snake, with devising a scheme. Snake proposed capturing the Sailor Warriors and stripping them of their loyalty. The Queen accepted and chose Sailor Dahlia as her first target—Dahlia being the warrior closest to the Princess and possessing superior combat abilities. As the warrior of fire, Dahlia's strength surpassed that of her comrades. Dark Snake planned to lure her into his advantageous alternate dimension, torment her, and ultimately capture her.
