Famous actress Keiko Mita was returning to Japan after a vacation at the Mexican resort town of Cancun when, during luggage inspection, a narcotics detection dog alerted authorities. This led customs officers to conduct a physical examination on her. A routine urine test came back negative, clearing her of initial suspicion. However, at the request of the narcotics investigation unit, a more stringent physical inspection was ordered. Due to a fellow performer having been arrested years earlier for drug possession, officials decided to apply special scrutiny to Keiko. Citing real cases of drugs concealed internally, they required her to undergo a natural bowel movement for examination. Still unsatisfied, the officers proceeded to enforce an involuntary enema check, suspecting drugs might be hidden within her intestines.
